I reduce, reuse and recycle to the fullest extent.  I avoid bags and plastic, wash equipment rather than throw items away, remove excess paint from brushes and rollers before washing, and re-use masking tape.  I let paint residue dry in my trays rather than rinse so it doesn't get into ground water or septic.

Cans dry completely before an environmentally safe disposal at GIRO.  I use zero to low VOC paint and oil-based products only if the job requires it.  How can an eco-conscious painter use 'toxic' materials?  With the most conscious intent.  I replace the painter who wouldn't care half as much.
